Bissell 9595a With OnePass Technology

bissell vacuum review

For a while now, our readers have been asking us to get into the vacuum cleaners arena and look at some units and the technology behind it. Today, we dive in.

The First Item On The Menu Is The Bissell OnePass CleanView 9595a

In their advertising of the 9595a Bissell asks questions and claims that this vacuum to be the God-given answer to all of them. Questions like:

  • Are you tired of dragging that heavy vacuum cleaner all around the house?
  • Do you get bored crossing the same spot over and over until it gets perfectly clean? Does it actually ever get perfectly clean?

We took an in-depth look, both at the vacuum itself and the reviews of the Bissell 9595a. It’s a vacuum that’s praised all around, one of the top rated models with online retailers and more importantly, it did receive a Rating of 92/100 at, a website that’s an authority in reviewing vacuums –you can see their analysis of the Bissell 9595a here.

But that aside, let’s not take anything at face value and look into it ourselves. Below are our takeaways and impressions.

Product Specs

Its lightweight design makes this vacuum cleaner easy to push and carry around, which ensures great mobility. The cord is long enough so you could work in a large radius – there’s no need for changing the electrical outlet each time you change the room.

Notice that cord isn’t retractable – once you’re done with vacuuming you just wrap it around cord wraps located on the back of the vacuum cleaner. The biggest flaw is the hose. It could definitely be longer since now you have to hold the vacuum cleaner, or it will tip over if you extend too much.

For low pile carpet or bare floors choose the lowest setting. It may be necessary to move it up for one setting if you need to pick up debris.

For medium pile carpet, you can use medium setting and for the high pile and most shag carpets use the highest setting. Cutting-Edge OnePass Technology

The main problem with most of the vacuum cleaners is that you need to clean the same place over and over again if you want a perfect cleaning. But, with OnePass technology of the Bissell 9595a that’s not necessary anymore. Now you can clean one place in one go, which saves your time and energy.

CleanView Dirt Tank

If you’ve ever had a vacuum cleaner with a bag, you definitely know why now everybody prefers a bagless one. The vacuum which has a dirt tank instead of a dirt bag is easier to use. And what makes this dirt tank special is its CleanView style. It’s transparent, so you can always see how much dirt there is and whether it needs emptying or not. Once it reaches the “full” line on the side you should empty it – you just push the tank release button and detach the dirt tank. Quite simple, isn’t it?

Multi-Cyclonic Filtration System

The cyclonic system provides strong and powerful suction which will collect even the dirt you didn’t know it’s there. A multi-level filter consists of two filters – one that can be easily removed and replaced (you should replace it every three to six months) and the other one that you can simply hand wash with warm water and some mild detergent if it’s necessary. These filters ensure that the dirt won’t be returned from the cleaner and the reviews of the Bissell 9595a that we’ve gathered for this analysis tell the same story.

Innovative Brush Design

The brush of the Bissell OnePass 9595a has a rather specific design – it rotates deep into the carpet which provides a better cleaning since this brush can collect all the dirt from carpet’s hairs.

Additional Equipment (Turbo Brush, Dusting Brush, Extension Wand & Crevice Tool)

For special surfaces such as carpeted stairs, car interiors, furniture and upholstery, you’ll need a special brush.

That’s exactly what this turbo brush is. It will clean all your delicate surfaces without damaging them. And for even more delicate surfaces (blinds, lamp shades, books…) there’s a dusting brush. With an extension wand, you can easily clean ceilings and baseboards without straining your back. This extension wand can be used alone or with an attached tool. And if you need to clean any narrow surfaces that are hard to reach – you have the crevice tool.

The Bissell CleanView Upright Vacuum with OnePass 9595a is an excellent vacuum cleaner with an affordable price ($79.99). If you decide to buy it – you won’t regret it. A few minor imperfections (short hose, non-retractable cord) are completely negligible beside many benefits of this vacuum cleaner has (its lightweight design, OnePass technology, powerful suction system, washable filters, additional equipment…).

A Brief Summary

We started this analysis and review of the Bissell 9595s OnePass by looking at the existing reviews with a grain of salt. That’s what you’re supposed to do when you’re reviewing a piece of tech.

But we have to say, we’re coming out at the other end convinced. We took a look at some of the more expensive models and their reviews and compared it to the Bissell 9595a.

Having the price in mind, this Bissell really does come on top.
