The EMERGE exhibit will be on display through June 30, featuring graphic design pieces by Nicole Antonian, Sam Arias, Marianna Holguin and Jessica Threde, who are earning their Graphic Design degrees at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
Angelica Villegas, a FIDM Graphic Design Student who is a student officer secretary of The Red Dot group and also blogger for FIDM’s Tumblr blog, wrote about her experience attending the opening reception of EMERGE.
“EMERGE is a fantastic way to unify the schools in the Greater Los Angeles area and celebrate the work of the Graphic Design students. It’s amazing to see the different styles and disciplines of the other schools in comparison to ours,” says Angelica.
“I love being an active member of The Red Dot,” adds Angelica. “It gives me the opportunity to venture outside of the classroom and connect with students from other quarters and schools, meet creative professionals and tour their facilities, and generally learn things about design and the industry that I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to. I would strongly recommend Graphic Design and Digital Media students in any quarter to join!”
