‘The World Ends with You: Final Remix’ Nintendo Switch Release Date Announced

One of the best portable action RPGs in the last 10 years is coming to the Nintendo Switch. gets the Switch treatment this October.

The World Ends with You Switch port will bring HD visuals, enhanced gameplay and exclusive new content to the popular hybrid console. Players can use the Joy-Con controllers or the Switch touchscreen to battle. There’s also a two-player co-op mode. However, details on the new content were not announced nor was an exact release date.

Nintendo released a brand new teaser trailer for The World Ends with You: Final Remix, which you can watch above.

This definitive version of SQUARE ENIX’s RPG classic brings the dark story to life on the Nintendo Switch system along with a new scenario and some new remixed music .

The World Ends with You first released on the Nintendo DS in Japan back in 2007 before Square Enix launched it stateside in 2008. The story follows Neku as he journeys to recover his memories so he can figure out how he died.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix releases on Nintendo Switch Oct. 12.
