What time is the FIFA 19 demo released? Release for Xbox One, PS4 and how to download

A new football season is well under way which always means a new edition of FIFA.

And while fans of the game will have to wait until September 28 for the full worldwide release, there are plenty of ways to play it earlier than everyone else.

Here’s what you need to know…

When is the FIFA 19 demo released?

EA Sports, the game’s makers, have said the demo will be available this Thursday, the 13th September.

What time?

No exact time has been announced yet, but a huge hint has been dropped that the demo will be launched at some stage in the afternoon. That’s what happened with last year’s demo release too.

The official PlayStation UK Twitter account has posted: “Put your boots on and show off your ball skills.

“The #FIFA19 demo kicks off September 13th in the afternoon.”

How can I download the demo?

If you play FIFA on PS4, head to the PlayStations store to download. If you’re an Xbox One user, the Microsoft Store is the place to go.

PC users should go to Origin.

What teams are on the demo?

The following nine teams have been confirmed as playable on the FIFA 19 demo:

  • Real Madrid
  • Atletico Madrid
  • Juventus
  • PSG
  • Bayern Munich
  • Borussia Dortmund
  • Manchester United
  • Manchester City
  • Tottenham

What other features will be on the demo?

There will be a playable mode of The Journey on the demo, as well as two-player offline play, but not online.

The matches will be eight minutes long.

The same goes for Nintendo Switch users who pre-order Champions Edition.

What about the full game? What new features will it have?

The full game will be available everywhere on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 28.

It will include a brand new UEFA Champions League mode, a revamped Kick Off mode and a new chapter of The Journey in which you can play as three different characters: Alex Hunter, Kim Hunter and Danny Williams.
