Gamers may only be a few days into October but that hasn’t stopped Sony from inadvertently revealing some of its plans for November. It was brief, but for a few hours the PlayStation Plus page revealed the two marquee PS4 games that will be available to subscribers next month.
The titles reportedly coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers in November 2018 are Yakuza Kiwami and Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. Both are remakes/updates of older games and both are high profile enough to generate a little attention.
Yakuza Kiwami is an updated version of Yakuza 1 using the new engine. Just recently the Yakuza series brought a close to the Kiryu Kazuma storyline with Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, but players can see how the series got its start with Kiwami. More importantly, gamers can enjoy the Japanese gang warfare title without worrying about dated graphics or gameplay mechanics.
On the other side of the spectrum is , a current-gen port of the outrageous FPS title from People Can Fly. While Bulletstorm had its fair share of fans when it first released, the title’s tone and humor seemed to turn off gamers. Now, more people have the opportunity to give Bulletstorm a chance and see that the score-based combat is wildly inventive and a lot of fun.
Of course, PS Plus subscribers shouldn’t get excited just yet since this is merely a leak. It seems very likely that these games would make up the anchor of a month, but there have been convincing fakes before.
And considering it is only early October, Sony is unlikely to confirm whether the leak is legitimate or not. Typically, the publisher reveals its selection of PlayStation Plus Games about a week or two before the end of the month. That way, Sony builds hype while also reminding subscribers that there isn’t much time left to claim the current slate of games.
